I read The Celestine Prophecy back in the mid 1990s and to be brutally honest I was a bit ‘ho-hum’ about it all. I found it an entertaining read, but the content did not touch me.
Browsing through bookshelves in a period of insomnia driven wandering last night, I came across the book and settled down to read it again.
From cover to cover I think it took a little under 3 hours but it was probably the most worthwhile 3 hours I have spent for a while!
If you have enjoyed Eckhart’s book A New Earth, I really recommend that you also read (or re-read) The Celestine Prophecy. I’ll be interested to know what you take away from it?

I agree — Redfield did a good job with this book — but I do wish he hadn’t made it into a novel. He was “getting it” just fine. I like the Tolle books more. I guess I wanted someone to “cut to the chase” and I think Tolle did that with perfect grace.
I haven’t read the sequels, where he talks about the 10th and 11th insights, but the first nine were darn profound.
Did you see the class on the 4th chapter with Tolle? I’ll be watching it tonight.
It makes my heart soar to see the change in consciousness that’s taking place.
Peace!
